Lancashire Bowler and “Thunderbolts” President Sajid Mahmood will make a special appearance at Clitheroe Cricket Club on the evening of Thursday 12th July.

Currently recovering from surgery, Sajid will be at the Clitheroe Cricket Club to promote Lancashire’s “CashBack” scheme. This reward scheme gives local Clubs and Schools the opportunity to get 50% CashBack on every ticket purchased for Lancashire Lightning fixtures. Lancashire County Cricket Club wants to encourage more Junior’s to experience the excitement of live cricket, whilst generating extra revenue for their local club, school and organisation to reinvest back into facilities.

Farouk Hussain, chairman of Clitheroe Cobras, said: “We are delighted to be involved in the CashBack Scheme. It has given our ever increasing junior section and their parents the chance to view exciting cricket at affordable prices and at the same time help raise much needed funds for the club.

“The funds raised by participating in the CashBack Scheme were put towards providing three additional synthetic surfaces for the Cobras. We currently entertain over 180 children under the age of 11. These additional facilities have helped to improve the quality of coaching that they receive and further underline our commitment to creating an all inclusive club with the best facilities to match that.”
