The schedule for the Blind Cricket Twenty20 World Cup has been revealed, the tournament running from 1st to 13th December in Bangalore, India.

The competing teams in the inaugural such competition are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

The tournament gets underway with a function at the Kanteerava Stadium on 1st December before the first matches are played on 2nd December.

The opening matches see hosts India clash with Australia and England take on Pakistan in the morning. Sri Lanka play South Africa and Nepal meet West Indies in the afternoon.

All teams play each other in a round robin format and the top four sides will then progress to the semi-finals, played on 12th December.

The final will be held one day later.

India's blind cricket team has defeated Pakistan's blind cricket team in a T20 three match series winning by two games to one and won the opening ODI. The Pakistan team began the series with their own share of problems since two of their key players were held up in Islamabad because of visa problems and captain Abdul Rasak was forced to sit on the sidelines having been injured in practice session before the first game.
Pakistan clinched a 2-1 series win over India as the three-match series between the blind cricket teams from both countries went down to the wire in Lahore. Pakistan won the opening game by 71 runs before India hit back to force a decider, which was won by the home side by the margin of six wickets.
The first Twenty20 of the series between India and Pakistan's blind cricketers was played at Lahore Gymkhana Cricket Ground, Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore and saw the hosts prevail by 71 runs. Honourable Mr. Latif Khosa, the Governor of Punjab officially inaugurated the Brien Holden Vision Pakistan-India Blind Cricket Series 2011.
