Cricket Scotland has announced that The Parkmead Group plc, one of Scotland’s fastest growing energy companies, will be the main shirt sponsor of the Scotland national cricket teams for a three year period.

Parkmead, who were also the primary shirt sponsors of the Scotland Under 19 cricket team during the 2012 world cup, will have their branding visible for the first time when the national squad leaves for the UAE next week, ahead of its important fixtures against Afghanistan.

Parkmead will feature on all the playing, training and formal wear of all the male and female national sides, from Under 15 level to the senior teams, as well as the Cricket Scotland professional staff.

Parkmead is building a significant new independent oil and gas company, on an accelerated basis, using a proven business model.

The Group has made excellent progress in the last twelve months in line with its strategy of growing a portfolio of assets within Europe. Parkmead has completed several deals across the entire asset lifecycle from exploration, through to development and production, including the acquisition of the Group's first oil and gas production in the Netherlands.  Already one of the Scotland’s fastest growing businesses, Parkmead sees clear benefit in being closely associated with the national cricket sides as both organisations seek to grow and succeed in their respective markets.

Roddy Smith, Chief Executive of Cricket Scotland was delighted with the new national team sponsor, "This is excellent news for our national teams," he said. "To secure a partnership with one of Scotland’s fastest growing companies is a real boost ahead of an important year for all Scottish cricket sides.  With important games on the horizon in the UAE, followed up by ODIs with Pakistan and Australia as well as a CB40 campaign, a four day game with Australia A and other crucial World Cup qualification games, it is fantastic that a new and fast growing Scottish company has backed us through to 2015."

The new Scotland playing kit, supplied by Cricket Scotland’s kit partner Kalli, will be available to buy from the beginning of April.
