Following a 229-run defeat to Afghanistan in the ICC Intercontinental Cup, Scotland have shuffled their squad ahead of two One-Day Internationals against the same opponent on 16th and 17th August.

Both matches will be played at Ayr and into the side come Preston Mommsen, Josh Davey, Gavin Hamilton, Dougie Lockhart while Qasim Sheikh, Simon Smith and Fraser Watts miss out.

The two sides have met twice before in ODIs, with Afghanistan taking an 89-run win in the ICC World Cup Qualifier before Scotland scored a two-wicket win in the ICC World Cricket League Division One.

Scotland ODI squad: Gordon Drummond (captain), Fraser Watts, Preston Mommsen, Josh Davey, Richie Berrington, Gavin Hamilton, Moneeb Iqbal, Dougie Lockhart, Majid Haq, Matthew Parker, Gordon Goudie, Ross Lyons, Dewald Nel, Ryan Flannigan.
