Rain has washed out play for the second consecutive day in the second and final Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

"Play has been called off for the day as the wicket was still wet," a Bangladesh Cricket Board told reporters.

The teams will attempt to start the contest at 0300 GMT on Monday, while the remaining three days will have 30 minute extensions to the opening session to make up some of the time lost to the weather.

New Zealand beat Bangladesh by three wickets on Tuesday in Chittagong to lead the series 1-0.
