The Clydesdale Bank 40 competition returns this evening for the first time in nearly two months, and Sussex Sharks have named their squad for the televised clash with the Worcestershire Royals, which takes place under the floodlights tonight at The County Ground, Hove (4.40pm start).
The Sharks lie nicely perched in third spot of Group A in the CB40 having won three of their five matches so far, and they will be looking to put together a run for the chance of a semi-final berth. They face a Royals side who are yet to get off the mark in the competition, losing all five of their outings.
The game represents the final time that all-rounder Robin Martin-Jenkins will be available for Sussex as he leaves the county after fifteen years to take up a teaching post at Hurstpierpoint College. Everyone at Sussex County Cricket Club wishes him well for the future.
Despite their recent form Worcestershire can boast some exciting players in their line-up, with former England star Vikram Solanki skippering the side and youngsters Moeen Ali and Alexei Kervezee amongst their batting line-up, whilst bowling-wise Richard Jones will relish a return to the ground on which he took seven wickets in the LV=County Championship in May.
Tickets for the clash are available on the gate, priced £20 for adults and £5 for juniors, or they can be booked in advance by calling 0844 264 0206.
