The Sharks confirmed their place in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday despite an eight-wicket defeat to Surrey Lions at Arundel, as results elsewhere went their way. Victory over the Eagles though will confirm a home quarter-final tie for the defending champions.

They are now second in the South Group table and need to finish in the top two places to confirm a match at Hove in the next phase of the competition.

Sussex can welcome back skipper Michael Yardy and Luke Wright to the squad following their involvement with the England one-day international squad. Essex can boast a hard-hitting line-up with England stars Ravi Bopara, Alastair Cook, and James Foster, as well as the big-hitting New Zealander Scott Styris.

Tickets are still available for the clash but a sell-out crowd is expected at Hove and advanced bookings are advised. Call 0844 264 0206 to reserve your tickets or log on to www.sussexcricket.co.uk
