Kemar Roach has been ruled out of the remainder of the West Indies' tour of India after failing to recover from a shoulder injury.
He was ruled out of the opening Test, which India won by innings and 51 runs in Kolkata, with the injury but has been unable to recover sufficiently.
Shannon Gabriel will replace him in the West Indies squad for the second and final Test in Mumbai, which gets underway on 14th November.
"Kemar has not made the expected recovery from the shoulder injury that kept him out of the first Test and he is returning to the Caribbean for ongoing management and subsequent physical rehabilitation," West Indies physio C.J. Clark said.
With Roach ruled out of the remainder of the tour, he also misses the three One-Day Internationals in Kochi, Visakhapatnam and either Baroda or Kanpur.
West Indies have named a 15-man squad for the three-game series with Kieron Pollard also absent due to injury.
Narsingh Deonarine, Veersammy Permaul, Kieran Powell and Denesh Ramdin are added to the squad that finished their last ODI series, against Pakistan.
