Managing Director & CEO Ian Chapman, Kerr MacRae and Rhea Halford of Simon & Schuster (S&S) have signed 25-year-old cricketing all-rounder Stuart Broad in a two-book deal.

The world rights deal was agreed with his agent Neil Fairbrother of International Sports Management. The first illustrated title - Stuart Broad’s World of Cricket, is published in autumn 2012 and will focus on Broad’s cricketing life, how to play the game in all its key areas, his sporting heroes and the key moments in his career.

Stuart Broad said: “It is an exciting project. I’m thrilled to be working with Simon and Schuster UK and I look forward to producing what I am sure will be an enjoyable and worthwhile read that conveys a sense of what my life is like as a professional cricketer.”

Kerr MacRae said: “I am delighted to be the publisher of the undoubted star of the current English Cricketing generation – Stuart’s professionalism and appeal across all age groups makes him the number one choice for people who want to learn about the game, his world and the wider areas of international cricket. This will be one of the biggest sports books of 2012!”

Broad, England's Twenty20 International captain, has played 41 Tests, 84 One-Day Internationals and 31 T20s for his country, winning the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, contributing to England's Ashes series wins in 2009 and 2011 as well as becoming a key part of the team that curretly tops the ICC Test rankings.
