Slazenger Black Bats For Stanford Super Series

16 October 2008

Slazenger have unveiled new, black versions of their bats to be used in the upcoming Stanford Super Series by England stars Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell and Matt Prior.

Black bats have been used in the Stanford Twenty20 competitions since 2006 and the Super Series will be no different.

“It is going to be an exciting match for everyone," Collingwood said. "Having black bats adds to that sense of something different. Our kit and bats are very important to us and it was actually after getting a new bat mid summer that things really started to turn round on the pitch for me. Hopefully that will continue for a one-off performance with these black bats.”

The series begins on October 25th and culminates with the Stanford Twenty20 for $20 million match between England and the Stanford Super Stars.
