Dwayne Smith has replaced Chris Gayle in the West Indies squad for One-Day Internationals against Ireland and England after Gayle withdrew with back problems.

Gayle missed the second Twenty20 International against Ireland after reporting stiffness in his lower back after the opening match.

He had precautionary scans and will miss the one match against Ireland and the three that follow against England, staying in Jamaica for treatment.

Smith scored 232 runs in four innings during the recent NAGICO Super50 domestic competition and opened the batting in both Twenty20 Internationals.
