Snape Off To India With Rajasthan Royals Role

Leicestershire spinner Jeremy Snape has agreed a deal to join the Rajastahan Royals in the Indian Premier League as a high performance coach for three weeks.

Snape will miss the early part of the domestic season to take part in the multi-million dollar tournament and will join Hampshire captain Dimitri Mascarenhas and Somerset opener Justin Langer in the Jaipur based franchise.

Leicestershire chief executive David Smith believes the stint will be beneficial to the county.

"Leicestershire CCC are very supportive of his involvement and are sure that he can pass on the experiences gained in India to our younger players, particularly, in our Twenty20 campaign starting on 11th June at Grace Road against Lancashire," he said.
