Oh dear. New Zealand fans reading Cricket World's Twitter feed got a bit of a shock this morning when they read that their team had beaten the West Indies by 203 runs to win the ODI series 3-1.
Except, of course, they hadn't. The West Indies won the game and our editor JP had obviously not eaten enough custard creams before getting a tweet out over breakfast.
Nevertheless, he was quickly alerted to his error by several eagle-eyed followers, who can always be counted on to give us support, points of view and when we need it, a nudge in the right direction.
And he certainly needed it today. I predicted a West Indies win last night, he went for New Zealand.
It's OK to get the result wrong before a game, but there's no excuse for getting it wrong when the game has been played.
There was some better news as Head of Media Al did decide to follow my advice and won £4.30 by betting on the West Indies with betway.
It's fair to say he's had the best morning of all of us, but as JP says at the end of the piece below, it could have been a lot worse.
