As well as Mukund, the Board President's XI includes four other players - Robin Uthappa, Parthiv Patel, Shami Ahmed and Parvinder Awana who have international experience.
The 'A' team batting line-up reads like a who's who of potential future Test batsmen with Rohit Sharma, Manoj Tiwary and Ajinkya Rahane all likely to be using the match as another opportunity to press their claims for full honours.
Ranganath Vinay Kumar leads a relatively experienced bowling attack that also includes Manpreet Gony and Dhawal Kulkarni, both of whom have experienced a taste of international cricket.
Wicket-keeper Muralidaran Gautam has scored 2,528 first-class runs at an average of 51.59 in 40 matches and he takes the gloves for the 'A' team - his first such opportunity.
Australia play four Tests in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mohali and Delhi between 22nd February and 26th March.
