Sri Lanka 351-4 (Dilshan 78, Silva 54) beat
Netherlands 195 (de Grooth 76) by 156 runs
ICC Cricket World Cup warm-up, Colombo
Sri Lanka began their warm-up schedule ahead of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup with a thumping 156-run win over the Netherlands.
Batting first, they reached 351 for four before the Netherlands were bowled out for 195 in 47.3 overs having never seriously threatened to overhaul their target.
Four batsmen - Tillakaratne Dilshan (78), Thilan Samaraweera (60), Chamara Silva (54) and Chamara Kapugedera (50 not out) - scored half-centuries as Sri Lanka opted to allow senior players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene not to bat.
Upul Tharanga also made 47, Angelo Mathews 21 and Nuwan Kulasekara a quickfire 14 in eight balls to steer Sri Lanka past 350.
The Netherlands then struggled badly with the bat, Dilhara Fernando taking four wickets as only Tom de Grooth, who made 76 in 96 balls, impressed.
Captain Bas Zuiderent made 38 - the next best score - before two cheap wickets apiece from Tissara Perera and Rangana Herath closed out the game for the home side.
