Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has named a 14-member squad for the first two Women's One-Day Internationals against the West Indies on 22nd and 24th February.

While the West Indies squad is unchanged from the set of players that carried them to a first ever World Cup final, Sri Lanka have made changes after finishing in a best ever fifth place.

Eshani Lokusuriya has been named as vice-captain, replacing Sandamali Dolowatte, who retains her place in the squad.

Lasanthi Madushani, Yasoda Mendis, Sherina Ravikumar and Oshadi Ranasinghe have been replaced by Chamari Polgampola, Nipuni Hansika and Rangika Fernando.

Five players - Chandima Gunaratne, Nilakshi de Silva, Runasinghe, Ama Kunchan and Maduri Sammudrika have been named on standby for the series.

The two sides will play three ODIs followed by five Twenty20 Internationals.

In another tight game, West Indies posted 122 for five as Deandra Dottin top scored with 44 before their bowlers held their nerve at the death to dismiss Sri Lanka for 115.

West Indies Women moved into a 2-0 series lead over Sri Lanka Women by winning the second Twenty20 International in Colombo by six wickets. Like the first match, runs came at a premium and after Sri Lanka had limped to 73 for eight, West Indies confidently reached 74 for four inside 16 overs to put themselves one win away from clinching the series.
West Indian captain Merissa Aguilleira held her nerve to hit the winning runs from the final ball of the first Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka Women in Colombo. In a low-scoring match, Sri Lanka posted 87 for eight but it needed Aguilleira's calm unbeaten 34 - including a boundary from the final ball - to guide the tourists to a two-wicket victory.
Sri Lanka have named a 14-member squad for the five-match Twenty20 International series against West Indies Women that gets underway tomorrow (1st Match). There are three changes from the squad that lost the One-Day International series 2-1.
