Sri Lanka have named their squads to travel to India where they will play three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals in November and December.

For the Tests, which begin on 16th November, there is a recall for left-arm pace bowler Chanaka Welegedara and uncapped wicket-keeper Kaushal Silva and batsman Thilina Kandamby earn call ups as well.

Silva was called up when Prasanna Jayawardene suffered a finger injury on tour in Pakistan but did not appear as Sri Lanka opted to hand the gloves to Tillakaratne Dilshan instead.

After failing to progress from the group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy in September, the ODI squad includes no new names but all-rounders Muthumudalige Pushpakumara and Chintaka Jayasinghe have been named in the Twenty20 International squad.

Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardene, both former captains of Sri Lanka, have been reprimanded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for excessive appealing. Experienced Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Samaraweera has confirmed his retirement from international cricket. Having been left out of the Test squad for the two-match series against Bangladesh, he had submitted his resignation to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), before a meeting was set up between him and national selectors today.
Kumar Sangakkara will now not return to action in the tour game against Bangladesh, which begins tomorrow, after being one of the 23 national players affected by a contract dispute with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Sangakkara was due to mark his comeback from a hand injury sustained in Australia last year by playing for an Emerging Players side against the Bangladeshis ahead of the first Test on 8th March.
