Sri Lanka Name Touring Squads

Sri Lanka have named provisional senior and 'A' squads to tour England and Ireland later this year as well as a 25-man provisional squad to compete in the Asian Games in September and October.

Sri Lanka play one Twenty20 International, five One-Day Internationals and two Tests in England between 20th May and 24th June while the 'A' team will be in England and Ireland between 14th July and 25th August.

Before heading to England, the senior side will play two ODIs against Ireland on 6th and 8th May while the 'A' team will play three one-day games against Ireland in July as well as nine other one-day games in England.

Incheon in South Korea will host the 17th Asian Games between 19th September and 4th October.

Twenty20 cricket made its debut at the Asian Games four years ago, when Sri Lanka finished fourth, behind Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The squads for the 'A' tour and the Asian Games are almost identical while some players, including Vishwa Fernando, Ashan Priyanjan and Chathuranga de Silva, are named in all three squads.
