The stand-off between Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and its centrally-contracted players has come to an end - for the timebeing, in any case - as all 23 players have now signed their contracts.

This has allowed Sri Lanka to name a full-strength 16-man squad for the opening Test against Bangladesh, on the same day that rain ruined day two of Bangladesh's tour game against a Sri Lanka Emerging Players XI.

The Emerging Players team were bowled out for 410 as Sohag Gazi finished with five for 104 and Elias Sunny three for 74.

Bangladesh openers Jahurul Islam (7) and Anamul Haque (1) then faced just 2.4 overs before play was abandoned due to the bad weather.

With Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Pradeep suffering injuries since being named in the 20-man provisional squad, the selectors chose to leave out just two players.

Kumar Sangakkara is selected despite being prevented from playing in the tour game due to the contract dispute as Ashen Silva and Suraj Randiv were left out.

The opening Test gets underway in Galle on Friday (8th March).

Sri Lanka Test squad: Angelo Mathews (captain), Dinesh Chandimal (vice-captain), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kumar Sangakkara, Lahiru Thirimanne, Shaminda Eranga, Kusal Janith Perera, Jeewan Mendis, Kithruwan Vithanage, Ajantha Mendis, Nuwan Kulasekara, Chanaka Welagedara, Suranga Lakmal, Rangana Herath, Tharindu Kaushal
