Sri Lanka Recall Ajantha Mendis For ODIs, T20Is

Sri Lanka have named their squads for the One-Day International and Twenty20 International series in Australia, recalling a fit-again Ajantha Mendis.

The 16-man squad includes four spinners with Rangana Herath, Akila Dananjaya and Jeewan Mendis joining Mendis while uncapped wicket-keeper Kushal Perera is given a call-up.

Kumar Sangakkara's absence through injury gives the 22-year-old former Under-19 international an opportunity having gained Champions League experience with Wayamba and played for Sri Lanka's A team.

Ajantha Mendis has not played international cricket since the final of the ICC World Twenty20 in 2012.

The two teams play five ODIs between 11th and 23rd January before a brace of Twenty20 Internationals on 26th and 28th January.
