Sri Lanka have confirmed that they will tour the United States of America (USA) and Zimbabwe after the conclusion of the ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies later this year.

The 2009 ICC WT20 runners-up will play New Zealand in the Twenty20 International American Cup before they travel to Zimbabwe in May and June to play the hosts and India in a One-Day International tri-series.

"Our National team will proceed to Lauderhill in the U.S after the conclusion Of the WC T/20 in the West Indies for the American Cup T/20 against New Zealand and thereafter to Zimbabwe for a triangular series against India and Hosts Zimbabwe," a media statement from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed.

The dates for the tri-series are understood to be 28th May to 9th June, while India are expected to play two Twenty20 Internationals against Zimbabwe on 12th and 13th June.

The series comes after New Zealand pulled out of a tour to Zimbabwe due to security issues.
