England waited until the last possible moment before deciding to replace unwell wicket-keeper Matthew Prior in their ICC Champions Trophy squad with Steven Davies.

Prior fell ill before England's second group match against South Africa and Eoin Morgan deputised in both that match and the game against New Zealand.

However, the team management have decided that ahead of the knockout stages of the competition, a specialist wicket-keeper is required and Davies will make his One-Day International debut against Australia in the semi-final having previously kept wicket in a Twenty20 International in the Caribbean - his only international match to date.
