Steve Snell Is Thule Player Of The Month

Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof racks, boxes and accessories has presented Gloucestershire County Cricket Club squad member, Steve Snell, with Thule’s Player of the Month (POTM) Award for July.

July saw Gloucestershire CCC play three Championship games; in which Snell continued to cement his position as Gloucestershire’s first choice wicket keeper for Championship cricket. In a fantastic run of performance, Snell kept for nearly 1200 runs without conceding any byes.

With the bat, Snell scored 54 not out in both innings against Warwickshire at Edgbaston. This was followed up by 65 not out against Middlesex and 53 against Essex, which currently places him top of the Gloucestershire Championship batting averages with 67, including 1 hundred and 6 fifties.

Thule, whose UK offices are based in Clevedon, North Somerset, sponsor the Gloucestershire Player of the Month Award. Thule’s UK General Manager Peter Barker commented on Steve Snell’s achievement: "Snell is proving to be an invaluable part of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, which has been confirmed by his recent signing for the next three years with the team. Thule look forward to watching his development and further successes at the county ground."

Other notable individual performances in July included Hamish Marshall's 121 and 62 against Warwickshire, Marcus North's 98 and Steve Kirby's five wicket haul against Essex.
