Sticky Wicket Raises £21,000 For The Lord's Taverners

The Lord's Taverners and Sticky Wicket Organisers would like to thank all those who participated and supported Sticky Wicket IV at Regent's Park on Wednesday 28th July, 2010.

It was another fantastic day that raised just over £21,000 for The Lord's Taverners. All the money raised will go towards giving underpriviliged and disabled children a sporting chance in life. Sticky Wicket provides a fabulous platform for networking, entertainment, hospitality and fun within the Event Industry and with your continued support will continue to deliver value and fun for all teams, sponsors and supporters.

The organisers would also like to thank the following Lord's Taverners from the world of entertainment and cricket who gave up their time to support the day: Alex Avery, Johnny Barran, Jonnie Irwin, Ben Jones, Gordon Kennedy, Ryan Philpott, Lawrence Prittipaul and Vince Wells.

After the group stages ExCel London and Ocean Media Group battled it out in the final with ExCel London coming out victorious to take The Sticky Wicket Trophy 2010.  The trophy was then presented by Angus Fraser (former England and Middlesex Cricketer) to the winning skipper of ExCel London, Jeremy Rees.
