Vastly-experienced Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark is to join Kent as their overseas player in 2010 for what would be his third stint in county cricket.
The New South Wales and former Middlesex and Hampshire player was due to join Kent for a short spell in 2009 ahead of The Ashes, but visa problems prevented him from doing so and he is now set to join Kent for the first half of the new season.
"Stuart is a tremendous character and has the ability and experience that we are looking for," club chairman Graham Johnson told www.kentccc.com.
"He is a genuine wicket-taker and will bring a great amount to the side. He has a positive outlook and will prove a great addition.”
Paul Farbrace, Kent's team director, added: "We are delighted to finally sign Stuart. He is an attractive signing for us because he is not playing in the Indian Premier League and will be available for the first half of the summer. He is an exceptional bowler and will offer a lot; both on and off the field."
