One of the south’s leading automotive groups – the Hendy Group – has once again been included in this year’s Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table.
The table ranks Britain’s 250 biggest mid-market private companies by latest sales and puts the Hendy Group at number 160th.
Hendy Group managing director Paul Hendy said he was delighted with the accolade which comes at a time of continued growth for the company.
“We are still a family-owned company but have a strong commitment to growth and diversification in the motoring market,’’ said Mr Hendy.
“Inclusion in the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table is a great accolade for everyone who has worked so hard to generate continued success.’’
Operating Ford, Mazda, Honda and Kia car franchises, the group is also one of the country’s leading Iveco and Ford truck companies, distributes power products worldwide and has a thriving car supermarket division.
In Hampshire the company is looking forward to completion of a brand new state-of-the-art dealership facility in Eastleigh to replace its existing Ford dealership in Chandler’s Ford.
In Portsmouth its brand new Kia dealership is proving a big success with buyers locally, and in Chandler’s Ford the company recently opened its second Mazda outlet.
In the south west a major refurbishment of its Honda dealership in Exeter has just been completed and the Exeter Car Supermarket has just celebrated its first anniversary under the Hendy Group banner with a national award from What Car?
A new Iveco and Ford truck facility recently opened in St Austell and the group is looking for further expansion in the region.
