West Indies Women 118-7 & 9-0 beat
England Women 118-7 & 6-1 on a Super Over
Women's T20 International tri-series, Barbados
England and West Indies needed a Super Over to separate them after both teams posted identical scores in the final group game of the Women's Twenty20 Intenational tri-series in Barbados.
The one-over eliminator went in the home side's favour, as they easily overcame a target of seven in just two balls, after both teams had posted 118 for seven.
Both sides had already qualified for the final but despite this match having nothing riding on it in terms of the competition, it proved to be a close contest throughout.
Batting first, the West Indies were in good form as Stafanie Taylor made 40 but were pegged back by Jenny Gunn (2-12) and Holly Colvin (1-9).
England then matched their score thanks to Lydia Greenway's 36 while Taylor proved just how important she is to the West Indian team with three for 15.
The Super Over proved to be less of a contest, however, as England managed six runs for the loss of a wicket.
The West Indies powered to nine in a couple of deliveries to ensure that they finished on top of the table and took their second win in two matches over England.
The two sides meet in the final on Saturday 26th October.
