Victoria 162 (Hussey 51, Raina 4-26) & 23-0 beat
Chennai Super Kings 162-6 (Vijay 73) & 13-0 on a Super Over
Champions League Group A, Port Elizabeth

Victoria held their nerve to beat Chennai Super Kings on a Super Over eliminator to take victory in an important Champions League Group A clash at Port Elizabeth.

After Victoria were bowled out for 162 in reply to the Super Kings' 162 for six, they posted 23 without loss in the one-over eliminator, to which Chennai replied with 13 runs.

Murali Vijay's 73 in 53 balls from the top of the order set up Chennai's score with useful contributions coming from Michael Hussey (25) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (22).

Clint McKay and John Hastings returned a pair of wickets apiece.

Victoria then made a good start to the run chase as Aaron Finch hit 41, Matthew Wade 31 and then David Hussey 51 in 45 balls before they slipped from 104 for two to 162 all out.

Two wickets apiece for Doug Bollinger and Muttiah Muralitharan were followed by a haul of four for 26 from Suresh Raina as the game headed to the Super Over.

Batting first in the eliminator, David Hussey hit Ravi Ashwin for three sixes to set up a winning score of 23 and despite Raina hitting a six off McKay, Chennai fell short.
