England batsman Kevin Pietersen has used his Twitter page to inform the world that he has been signed by Surrey.
He also claimed that he has been left out of England's Twenty20 squad to play Pakistan, which at the time of his message, had yet to be announced officially by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Leaving no one in any doubt as to his feelings on the matter, Pietersen wrote:
"Man of the World Cup T20 and dropped from the T20 side too...it's a f*** up!! Surrey have signed me."
Having made the decision to leave Hampshire at the end of the season, the club had refused to pick him for the remainder of the season and having said that Hampshire was too far from his London home, he was hoping to sign for either Middlesex or Surrey in order to get vital match practice ahead of the Ashes tour.
He has struggled for form this summer in Test matches against Bangladesh and Pakistan, averaging 33 with a highest score of 80, and has not scored a Test century since March 2009.
The Twitter blast comes just weeks after Yorkshire's Azeem Rafiq was suspended for a month after he used his Twitter account to vent his feelings having been dropped as captain of the England Under-19s.
