Sussex, in conjunction with Friends Provident, are aiming to break the record for the largest ever coaching session in the UK during the interval of their FP Trophy match against Surrey on Sunday (10th May).

Members of Sussex's development team will organise a mass participation drill with over 2,034 people taking part.

Mike Yardy, Sussex CCC captain, said:  “First and foremost it should be great fun for everyone that fancies having a go.  I hope as many people as possible come to the ground to help us ensure we make history!”

Participants will be involved in throwing and catching and will also receive a Friends Provident hat.

Yardy added:  “We will have official adjudicators on duty counting participants and Sid the Shark, our famous club mascot, will be lending a helping fin!”
