Sussex And West Indies Frustrated By Bad Weather

The Sussex-West Indies tour game at Hove was drawn after just 34 overs of play were possible over three days.

18 overs were bowled on day two and a further 16 on day three after the opening was washed out.

The two men to fall on day two were Adrian Barath (16) and Kirk Edwards (8). The former was bowled by Kirk Wernars - making just his fourth first-class appearance for Sussex - and the latter was caught by captain Chris Nash off Chris Liddle.

Kieran Powell made 35 in 71 balls before he was caught by Matthew Prior off Naved Arif, leaving Darren Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul unbeaten on 19 and nine respectively.

The tourists will hope for better weather when they take on England Lions in Northampton from 10th May.
