Sussex County Cricket Club is delighted to announce Herbalife as its Official Nutrition Partner for the 2011 season.

The partnership began in early April and involves the entire squad using Herbalife Formula 1 shakes, meal replacement bars, protein bars and H30 Pro™ for the coming season. As part of the relationship, Herbalife has also now become official nutrition product supplier to the team.

Sussex will benefit from Herbalife’s innovative products which have been designed by scientists and nutritionists with the players’ personal wellness goals in mind. The products are also used by some of the world’s leading football clubs, including Barcelona, Valencia and Los Angeles Galaxy.

There will be an interesting clash later in the summer when Sussex entertain the Indian touring team at The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove, as Herbalife sponsored Virat Kohli could be amongst the touring party that Sussex will encounter.

Sussex’s Strength and Conditioning Coach James West is delighted by the early signs of the partnership and he said “Herbalife’s range is at the cutting edge of nutrition and they are currently developing new products which we will be able to benefit from later this year.”

“We have been using the products since pre-season, and the players have enjoyed using them, especially the protein bars which taste fantastic. Everything we’ve seen suggests this is going to be a great partnership and Herbalife have been very helpful and proactive in their approach to Sussex which is extremely encouraging.”

Gavin Aley, Country Director, Herbalife UK explained why such an agreement was so important to the company; “With SCCC we weren’t looking for a sponsorship but a partnership. We always try to work with teams that are themselves striving to better their last result, and SCCC fits this profile perfectly. Working together we will be able to demonstrate the quality and efficacy of the Herbalife range, as well as hopefully giving the team an extra competitive edge.”

Herbalife itself has been in operation for over thirty years whilst the UK version of the company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2009. There are currently more than two million independent distributors selling their products in 75 countries worldwide.
