Sussex assistant coach Jon Lewis has been linked up with the coaching panel of England team ahead of the One-Day International series against West Indies.

Lewis will help the team in their preparation for the first two games of the series at Old Trafford and Trent Bridge on 19th and 21st September respectively.

As a result, Lewis will miss Sussex's County Championship Division Two encounter against Durham at Chester-le-Street that begins on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, former Somerset, Middlesex and Hampshire seamer Kevin Shine has been appointed as the bowling coach of England for the five-game ODI series against West Indies.

The decision follows after former West Indies fast bowler Ottis Gibson has been released from the bowling coach role with England following his appointment as the head coach of the South African team.

The five ODIs between England and West Indies will be played between 19th and 29th September in Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, London, and Southampton.
