Sussex CCC have revealed that the injury sustained by Chris Nash in yesterday's (May 31st) Twenty20 Cup game against Kent is not as bad as had first been thought.

Nash collided with team-mate Dwayne Smith during the dismissal of Geraint Jones and the early news suggested he had broken a leg. However, Sussex have confirmed that x-rays revealed there was no break, but deep tissue damage, which means the opening batsman will be out of action for ten to 14 days.

Sussex went on to lose the match by five wickets and now face a stiff challenge to progress from the South Group of the competition.
