Sussex Tender For Ground Development Consultants

Sussex County Cricket Club today announced that they are seeking to appoint an external agency to assist with the Master Ground Development Plan for the County Ground, Hove. This will involve all levels of consultancy from market research through to implementation.

The England and Wales Cricket Board have confirmed the new structure for domestic cricket beginning in the summer of 2010 and it is important to take this into consideration in the development. This will to enable the Club to accommodate the increased capacity and maximise its commercial potential with the changing game.

Gus Mackay, SCCC Chief Executive, commented: "Now the ECB have announced the new structure for domestic cricket, it is imperative that we take this into consideration when developing the County Ground. We believe that the County Ground and its facilities should be at the heart of the community.

"We want to improve the spectator’s match day experience which we believe will assist in attracting new audiences to cricket.

"It is important that we get the right expertise to assist in developing the master plan for the County Ground. We hope the tender process will find the perfect partner for Sussex County Cricket Club."
