Sutcliffe Replaces Loye For Lancashire-Hampshire Game

After the disappointment of Tuesday’s Twenty20 Cup Quarter-Final loss to Middlesex, Mike Watkinson’s men turn their attentions to the County Championship and their 4-day fixture against Hampshire at The Rose Bowl.

The Red Rose County come into this fixture in excellent First-Class form after defeating modern day rivals Sussex at Hove seven days ago; leaving them second in a very tight Division One Table.

The only change to last week’s 12-man squad is that Iain Sutcliffe replaces Mal Loye, who is recovering from back spasms experienced in the lead up to Tuesday’s Twenty20 Quarter-Final.

This match could also prove to be Andrew Flintoff’s last outing for the county before he is recalled to the England team ahead of the second Test match against South Africa at Headingley Carnegie.
