Pace bowler Syed Rasel has been ruled out of Bangladesh's tour of New Zealand, after injuring his collar bone while fielding in their tour game against the Northern Knights, which they lost by seven wickets.

A statement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said:

"Uncapped Barisal paceman Sajidul Islam will be flying to New Zealand at the first available opportunity after the Bangladesh Team Management decided to call him up as replacement for fellow left-arm seamer Syed Rasel who has suffered a dislocated left collar bone in the first warm-up match against State Northern Knights at Seddon Park on Sunday.

"Rasel was examined by an orthopaedic surgeon in Hamilton today (Monday) and the report is expected tomorrow morning. He will undergo further investigation and treatment before a final assessment of his injury condition is made."
