T20 Sparks Change In Corporate Hospitality
Keith Prowse, the UK’s hospitality leader, has noted a change in corporate hospitality buying patterns sparked by cricket’s action-packed Twenty20 format.
According to Keith Prowse, there has been an increase in demand for evening entertaining in its boxes and hospitality suites at the Brit Oval, caused by the heightened profile of Twenty20 cricket.
With innings lasting around 75 minutes each, Twenty20 has been brought in line with the time span of other popular team sports. Fast paced, floodlit and interactive, the games take place outside traditional office hours, thereby, driving demand for hospitality and client entertaining.
On Friday 18th June, the Surrey Lions vs Kent Spitfires Friends Provident T20 match at the Brit Oval is expected to attract a level of demand unprecedented in domestic cricket at the venue, with guests in both the OCS Restaurant and Private Boxes being treated to a special screening of the England vs Algeria FIFA World Cup™ group game following the close of play.
Lions Loose will be the event setting the pace for the corporate hospitality rush ahead of mid-summer’s Twenty20 stretch. Hosted by Surrey County Cricket Club, Lions Loose takes place in Potters Field Park next to London Bridge on Thursday 13th May.
The City’s white collar cricketers are invited to test their skills in batting and bowling zones featuring state-of-the-art bowling machines and speed guns, while Surrey Lions stars including Mark Ramprakash, Rory Hamilton-Brown and Andre Nel will take part in Q&A sessions. Keith Prowse will have a presence at the event as the Brit Oval’s official hospitality provider, with representatives on hand to talk about the full range of Keith Prowse T20 entertaining options.
