Talha Ruled Out Of Remaining England Tests

Pakistan quick bowler Mohammad Talha has been ruled out of the rest of the Test series against England with a back injury.

23-year-old right-armer Talha was left out of the opening Test, which Pakistan won by ten wickets in Dubai, and the spinal disc injury means he will miss both the second Test in Abu Dhabi and the third match in Dubai.

"Talha developed back problem and in the MRI scan it was revealed that he has a disc problem and when his pain subsides in the next two three days he will return home," team manager Naveed Cheema said.

Pakistan are not expected to name a replacement for Talha, who will be out of action for at least ten days.

His one Test appearance to date came against Sri Lanka in Karachi in 2009 and he took four wickets for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) XI against England ahead of the Test series.

The second Test gets underway on 25th January and the third Test begins on 3rd February.
