Bangladesh have added opening batsman Tamim Iqbal to their squad ahead of the Asia Cup, which begins on Sunday (11th March) when they take on Pakistan.
Tamim, who has recently recovered from a groin injury, was originally left out of the squad and instead named on a list of standby players.
He has subsequently been drafted into the squad having passed a fitness test.
Tournament hosts Bangladesh also play India on 16th March and Sri Lanka on 20th March and the final is held on 22nd March.
Left-handed Iqbal has played 24 Tests, 109 One-Day Internationals and 15 Twenty20 Internationals for Bangladesh, scoring 3,115 ODI runs at an average of 28.84 and a strike-rate of 79.04 with three centuries.
