Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of the fourth One Day International against New Zealand in Hamilton after picking up a stomach injury in Wellington.

The injury, picked up when he was hit by an Iain O'Brien delivery in the second ODI, forced him to retire during India's 58-run win at the AMI Stadium and scans have revealed swelling and bruising, leading the Indian team management to pull him out of the match.

India lead the five-match series 2-0
