Thornely Signs New Two-Year Deal At Sussex

Sussex County Cricket Club has signed a new two-year contract with young player Michael Thornely.

Mark Robinson, Pro Cricket Manager said: "Michael has had an outstanding summer, scoring over 800 runs in the Second XI Championship. What has impressed us most is that he has grown in stature as a person as well as a player. If he continues this rate of improvement he will have a very bright future with the Club."

Michael is developing his game further this winter in Perth Australia and said: " I am delighted to be staying at Sussex, the team and coaching staff are very supportive of their young players and I am looking forward to giving back as much as I can to the Club over the next two seasons."
