Three Signings For Gloucestershire

Opening batsman Kadeer Ali, wicketkeeper Steve Adshead and spinner Vikram Banerjee have all signed new one-year extensions to their current contracts, Gloucestershire CCC have announced.

Kadeer Ali joined the club from Worcestershire in 2005, scoring his maiden first-class century in 2006 and has scored 2,231 runs since his arrival. He had a profitable 2007 season, particularly during Gloucestershire run to the Twenty20 Cup final, in which he averaged 41.75.

Wicketkeeper Steve Adshead has been with Gloucestershire since 2004, when he was a deputy to Jack Russell. The 27-year-old has since made the position his own since Russell's retirement.

Vikram Banerjee joined Gloucestershire in 2006 having graduated from Cambridge University, quickly forcing himself in to the Championship side.

Gloucestershire will play in Division Two of the LV County Championship and Division One of the NatWest Pro40 League in 2008.
