Thule & Gloucestershire CCC: The Perfect Partnership

Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof rack systems, roof boxes and accessories, has announced its partnership with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in a sponsorship deal connecting the two world famous names for the next three years.

Thule’s partnership with Gloucestershire CCC includes sponsorship of team shirts, the 105 Club award for scores of over a century or five wickets, Player of the Month trophy and Champagne Moment award for the single most outstanding performance of the season. The new deal will continue Thule’s partnership with the club right up to the ground’s planned expansion into a world class cricketing venue.

Peter Barker, UK General Manager at Thule said: “Gloucestershire CCC’s values of quality, reliability and success are those shared by Thule making this the perfect partnership. The Club has also always been good at maintaining a high profile in the country’s cricketing world and it is with great pride that Thule are by their side again for the 2008 cricket season.”

New Zealander Craig Spearman holds the record for the club’s highest ever individual score, beating cricketing legend W.G Grace. Spearman was awarded last year’s Thule Champagne Moment for his reverse sweep shot off Muttiah Muralitharan first ball at the Twenty20 Semi Final v Lancashire on 4th August 2007.

Thule, whose headquarters are in Clevedon, have been supporters of Gloucestershire CCC for four years and list all the players in receipt of their sponsored awards on the Thule Partners in Sport website at www.thule.co.uk/partners.
