Australia 234-4 (Hussey 67, Ponting 65) v India - NO RESULT

ICC Champions Trophy Group A, Centurion

A thunderstorm and persistent heavy rain forced the ICC Champions Trophy Group A match between Australia and India to be abandoned, the no result confirming Pakistan's passage into the semi-finals.

Mike Hussey (67), Ricky Ponting (65) and Tim Paine (56) all scored half-centuries as Australia were gearing up for a big push when the rain arrived in the 43rd over with them handily placed on 234 for four.

Having won the toss, Shane Watson (0) departed early, caught by Harbhajan Singh off Ashish Nehra.

India will be out of the tournament unless they beat the West Indies convincingly in their final game and Pakistan beat Australia - both games take place on Wednesday and net run-rate could well come into play to decide who progresses along with Pakistan.
