An “All America” team is an honorary team from any college sport in the USA, composed of outstanding players – in other words, an all star team; & is referred to as “All Americans”. A squad of 16 was named by American College Cricket.

Historic Venue For Ivy League Championship

The final stages of the American College Cricket Ivy League Championship will be hosted at the prestigious Philadelphia Cricket Club on 29th September 2013. The Final Four and Final will be played at the PCC while the two venues for matches played on 28th September have yet to be confirmed. Sponsors of the event include Coca Cola and Dish Network.

Maryland (UMBC) Lift Shiv Chanderpaul Trophy

University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) have been crowned 2013 American College Cricket champions and have claimed the Shiv Chanderpaul Trophy. They were captained to victory by Rikin Parikh and this year's Championship was dedicated to the memory of Colin Michael Jodah, who passed away earlier this year.

American College Cricket Announces Ivy League Championship

The University of Pennsylvania had one of the first official college sports teams in America, a cricket team which was begun in 1842. Princeton began an official one in 1857 & Harvard in 1868, but cricket was being played at Dartmouth and Ivy League universities in the 1700’s. Now more recognized for their academic excellence, the "Ivy League" played a major and pioneering role in early American sports.

USF Bulls Take On UMBC Retrievers In American College Cricket Final

Both teams in the finals of the American College Cricket National Championship got there undefeated. University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC Retreivers) made the final four in 2010 but has struggled to repeat that success until the 2012 Mid Atlantic Regionals which they won.

28 Universities Set To Battle For Chanderpaul Trophy

In March 2009, five new college teams, with practically no practice playing together stepped out on cricket fields in Florida to compete for the Chanderpaul Trophy & a National title for the first time. They earned a big story in the NY Times of March 24, 2009. In 2010 the American College Cricket Spring Break Championship set a record by having 47 matches in 5 days, which it broke in 2011 when 30 teams competed in 5 days in a record 67 matches – the largest ever cricket tournament in the world.

5 Texas Colleges Included In National Championship For Chanderpaul Trophy

Another indication that the Lone Star State always does things bigger - of the states, it may have the most colleges playing for the Chanderpaul Trophy in the American College Cricket National Championship in Ft Lauderdale, March 13 -17 on TV Asia - five. Texas A & M, a 2012 Club of the Year, has lost only one of the 12 matches its played in American College Cricket – and that was to eventual National Champions York College in the Semis of the Nationals.

Chanderpaul Signs Endorsement Deal In USA

Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been American College Cricket's brand ambassador from the beginning - that is late 2008. For his efforts Chanderpaul became the first inductee into the American College Cricket Hall of Fame, at a function in NYC, attended by Legends Brian Lara, Clive Lloyd, Courtney Walsh and Jimmy Adams. Fresh on the heels of that accomplishment, the pioneering Chanderpaul signed an endorsement deal with an American company - Mueller Sports Medicine.

American College Cricket Newcomer Of The Year Named

Just in time for Elvis Presley's birthday anniversary the American College Cricket Newcomer of the Year was named as Murali Krishna Ankaraju of the University of Memphis, the hometown of the King. Making his debut in American College Cricket, at the South West Regional, Murali smashed 131 off 65 balls with six fours and 10 sixes - a strike rate of 201.5. The highest score of the five centuries made this season in college cricket (10 since 2010).

Chanderpaul Makes Major American College Cricket Announcement

At a press conference in New York the world's current number one ranked Test batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul has announced the launch of the American College Cricket Hall of Fame on the fourth anniversary of his first involvement in American College Cricket. American College Cricket was founded in October 2008 by Lloyd Jodah, and from December 2008 Chanderpaul has been the Patron and Brand Ambassador for American College Cricket.

Krunal Bhange, A New Star USF Bulls His Way Onto Scene

Just in time for the 2013 Nationals, the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls has added a new talent to their roster – Krunal Bhange. In the American College Cricket South East Championship Krunal smashed 127* against Embry Riddle University, hitting 14 fours & 7 sixes in 73 balls. He followed it up with 48 against FIU and 10 against the UF Gators.
