Bangladesh will follow up their recently-announced tour of Ireland with a brace of Twenty20 Internationals in the Netherlands. They will leave Ireland, where they play three matches, on 22nd July ahead of a game apiece against Scotland and the Netherlands on 24th July.

Ireland To Host Bangladesh For Three Twenty20s

Bangladesh will tour Ireland and play three Twenty20 Internationals in July as both teams step up their preparations for the ICC World Twenty20. The Twenty20 matches will be played in Belfast on 18th, 20th and 21st July following a warm-up game against an Ireland XI on 16th July.

Bangladesh have recalled former captain Mohammad Ashraful to their 15-man squad for the Twenty20 International tri-nations series in Zimbabwe. South Africa are also involved in the series and Bangladesh have also handed a recall to batsman Junaidd Siddique.

Former Pakistan coach Richard Pybus has been named as the new head coach of Bangladesh and he will replace Australian Stuart Law. Law will leave the job in June having opted to stand down one year into his two-year contract while Pybus has signed a two-year deal.

Mannofield Unable To Host Scotland-Canada Matches

Cricket Scotland has announced that venues for upcoming international matches against Canada have been switched from Aberdeen's Mannofield ground. They will now play the Intercontinental Cup game at Uddingston and the two One-Day Internationals at Citylets Grange as Mannofield continues to undergo repairs to the square following vandalism last year.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that a series of three matches between Kenya and Namibia have been postponed. The two sides were due to play an ICC Intercontinental Cup match and then two one-day games in Nairobi in June.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have turned down a request from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to tour for a series of limited overs matches. Following the postponement of Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan, they had approached South Africa with the intention of playing in May.

Bangladesh's impending tour of Pakistan, scheduled to take place later this month has been postponed. The two countries confirmed that a One-Day International and a Twenty20 International would be played but just ten days before the first match is slated to be played, the Bangladesh High Court has intervened.

Bangladesh head coach Stuart Law is to resign in June, bringing an end to his spell in charge one year into a two-year contract due to family reasons. Law led Bangladesh to the Asia Cup final on home soil in March, which they narrowly lost to Pakistan.

18-year-old Afsar Zazai marked his first-class debut by hitting an unbeaten 87 to guide Afghanistan to an impressive come-from-behind victory over the Netherlands in the ICC Intercontinental Cup in Sharjah. He came to the crease with his side at 86 for four chasing 233 to win and they were in more trouble at 111 for six but his innings turned the match on its head.

Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by five wickets in the final group game of the Asia Cup 2012 to secure their place in the final against Pakistan. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 232 and after Bangladesh were set a target of 212 in 40 overs after a rain break, they reached 212 for five in 37.1 overs.

Bangladesh Clinch Victory Despite Tendulkar's Century

Sachin Tendulkar was unable to celebrate a victory on the occasion of his 100th international century as a superb run chase from Bangladesh threw the Asia Cup 2012 wide open once again. Tendulkar had scored 114 to help India post 289 for five but his side were defeated thanks to half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal, Jahurul Islam and Nasir Hossain as well as a blistering unbeaten 46 in 25 balls from captain Mushfiqur Rahim.

International Cricket Council Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat has congratulated Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar after he reached his 100th international century. He scored 114 against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup, ending a wait of more than a year to move off of century number 99. The knock was also his 49th ODI century.

Sri Lanka will have to make do without the services of key all-rounder Angelo Mathews for the remainder of the Asia Cup after he suffered a calf injury. He is set to return to Colombo and make a bid to be fit for the England Test series, which begins in Galle on 26th March.
