The LV= County Championship Division Two match between Leicestershire and Derbyshire has been postponed for two days after Derbyshire player Tom Poynton was involved in a car crash in which his father died.
Derbyshire CCC have made several additions to their new coaching structure following the recent appointment of Graeme Welch from Warwickshire to lead the Elite Performance structure as Elite Cricket Performance Director.
Graeme Welch has, as expected, been appointed as the new Elite Cricket Performance Director at Derbyshire. As a result, Worcestershire seamer Alan Richardson has been tempted into retirement to fill the vacant position at Edgbaston.
Gloucestershire, Middlesex and Essex all completed victories in the remaining matches in round 13 of the LV= County Championship, while there was a much-needed win for Warwickshire in the day's Friends Life t20 fixture.
