Edwards Leads England To Third Place Finish

England captain Charlotte Edwards became just the third woman to reach eight One-Day International centuries as she led her side to a third-place finish at the Women's World Cup in Mumbai. Edwards warded off a late flurry of wickets with an unbeaten 106 as England closed on 222 for six in reply to New Zealand's total of 220 for eight.

Reigning Women's World Cup champions England got their campaign back on track following their unexpected one-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka with a 32-run win over India in Mumbai. Charlotte Edwards scored 109 as England posted 272 for eight and despite Harmanpreet Kaur's maiden ODI century in India's reply, they closed on 240 for nine, Katherine Brunt taking four for 29.

Van Jaarsveld, Ontong Deny Pakistanis Victory

Ahead of their three-match Test series against South Africa, the touring Pakistanis drew their only warm-up match with a South African Invitational XI. On the final day, Pakistan declared on 250 for nine, setting the home side 323 to win and thanks to a half-century from captain Justin Ontong, Pakistan's victory chances came to nothing.
