Jacques Rudolph has been handed a recall to South Africa's Test team after an absence of five years ahead of two matches against Australia. Uncapped leg-spinner Imran Tahir and all-rounder Vernon Philander have also been named in a 14-man squad for the series, which begins on 9th November.

Edwards Ton Sets Up Comprehensive England Victory

Charlotte Edwards scored her fifth One-Day International century to set up a 96-run win for England Women in the second game against South Africa Women in Potchefstroom. Her innings of 138 steered England towards an imposing total of 315 for six before South Africa were bowled out for 219 in reply as England moved to an unassailable 2-0 series lead.

Brindle And Greenway Set Up England Victory

Twin centuries from Lydia Greenway and Arran Brindle set England Women on course for a 62-run win over South Africa Women in the first One-Day International in Potchefstroom. Greenway was unbeaten on 125 and Brindle on 107 as England scored 297 for three before dismissing South Africa for 235 in reply to ensure Charlotte Edwards led her side to victory in her 150th ODI appearance.

Cricket World County Player Of The Week - Simon Kerrigan

There is really only one winner of the Cricket World County Player of the Week this week. Simon Kerrigan returned season-best figures of nine for 51 to bowl Lancashire to victory against Hampshire and keep them in the Championship title race on the final day at The Rose Bowl. He preceded this with three wickets in the first innings to give him career-best match figures of 12 for 192.

Michael Lumb Signs For Nottinghamshire

Hampshire opener Michael Lumb has signed a three-year contract with Nottinghamshire and will join the Outlaws from the start of the 2011 season. Lumb has hardly featured in domestic cricket this season due to injury but he will head to Trent Bridge after time playing for the Sydney Sixers in the KFC Big Bash T20 League and the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.

Edwards And Greenway Lead England To Victory

Half-centuries from Charlotte Edwards and Lydia Greenway helped England clinch a six-wicket win over India in their opening match of the Women's Quadrangular One-Day International series in Derby. Both players scored 51 with Greenway unbeaten when the winning runs were hit as England closed on 205 for four, overhauling India's 202 for nine with more than four overs in hand.

Lumb, Kieswetter, Patel Recalled By England

England have named their squads for the upcoming Twenty20 International and One-Day International series with Sri Lanka, recalling Craig Kieswetter, Michael Lumb and Samit Patel. Former ODI and T20I captain Paul Collingwood, along with Test wicket-keeper Matthew Prior, has been left out of both squads, which will be led by Stuart Broad (T20) and Alastair Cook (ODI) respectively.

South Africa have received a potentially serious injury blow after confirming that leg-spinner Imran Tahir has fractured his thumb. He suffered the undisplaced fracture of his left thumb while taking the catch to dismiss Jonathan Trott during his side's narrow Cricket World Cup defeat to England in Chennai.

Imran Tahir And Ingram Get CSA National Contracts

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have awarded national contracts to batsman Colin Ingram and leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who only made his international debut in the World Cup opener against the West Indies. They are the two new players in CSA's 20-player list for the 2011-12 season, which can be extended to 22 players should the board choose.

Imran Tahir Added To Preliminary World Cup Squad

Leg-spinner Imran Tahir has been added to South Africa's preliminary World Cup squad, Cricket South Africa (CSA) have confirmed. Tahir qualified to play for South Africa earlier this month and was named in the One-Day International squad which begins a five-match series against India on 12th January in Durban and he has now been added to the squad of players from which CSA will pick its 15-man World Cup squad.

Bowling Coach Saker Extends Contract With England

England's fast bowling coach David Saker has extended his contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will continue to work for them for another three years. Saker first joined the England management team ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 success in 2010 and the former Victoria man will now continue until at least 2013.

South Africa have called up uncapped all-rounder Francois du Plessis and leg-spinner Imran Tahir for the One-Day International series against India. Du Plessis comes into the side which will not include experienced batsman Jacques Kallis for at least the first two matches of the five-match series due to a rib injury.

Imran Tahir Qualifies To Play For South Africa

Pakistan-born leg-spinner Imran Tahir could be in line to make his debut for South Africa in the decisive Cape Town Test against India - which begins on 2nd January - after qualifying to play for the Proteas. "Imran Tahir, the former Pakistan A team leg-spinner, is now fully eligible to play cricket for South Africa following the decision by the South African government to grant him permanent residency," Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Gerald Majola said.
